An animal becomes a national symbol.
Heraldry uses simplified shapes. The eagle in the federal coat of arms is therefore not a realistic portrait of one particular bird. The official description specifies a black, single-headed eagle on a golden-yellow background with red details.
Eagles can have different designs on a building, a publication or in Parliament. The study question does not ask for a designer’s name or one particular drawing. It asks for the shared animal motif.

The other three answers
Other heraldic animals do not change the federal coat of arms.
Lion
A lion may appear in other coats of arms. The federal coat of arms shows an eagle.
Bear
The bear is not the federal heraldic animal. The question concerns the Federal Republic as a whole.
Horse
A horse is not the animal in the federal coat of arms either.
Distinguish a nature illustration from an official emblem.
The large illustration in this article shows a fictional natural eagle. It is not an official coat of arms or a template authorising its use.
The word eagle is enough for this question. A similar-looking symbol alone does not establish that a service comes from a public authority.
Federal eagle · National symbol ↗Federal Republic → federal eagle.
Learn the animal motif first, then the differences between individual designs.
