The delivery method does not change whose vote it is.
Postal voting does not mean handing one’s electoral choice to someone else. The eligible voter decides personally and keeps the vote private. Permissible assistance with particular difficulties supports that choice; it does not replace it with the helper’s preference.
For a Bundestag election, the voting certificate and postal documents are requested from the responsible municipality. No special reason is required. State parliamentary elections also provide postal voting; precise rules and application deadlines should be checked with the relevant election authority.

The other three answers
Distinguish delivery, personal choice and eligibility.
The husband votes for his wife as well.
Marriage does not permit proxy electoral decisions. Each spouse has their own vote. Permitted assistance must follow the voter’s own expressed choice.
You can cast your vote by phone on election day.
Voting by telephone is not provided for these elections. Speaking to the election office is not casting a vote; postal voting requires the prescribed documents.
Children from the age of 14 are allowed to vote.
The claimed voting right at age 14 does not apply here. Bundestag voters must be at least 18 on election day. State elections have their own statutory eligibility requirements.
Receipt matters, not just the posting date.
For a Bundestag election, the postal ballot must reach the responsible office by 6 p.m. on election Sunday. A later arrival is not counted. Preparation therefore includes allowing for delivery time and following election-office guidance.
Postal voting is an official procedure. An ordinary letter naming a party or a homemade replacement ballot is not enough. The accompanying instructions explain how to use the documents received.
Postal voting · Election information ↗Postal voting yes. Someone else’s choice or a telephone vote no.
The permitted answer describes a legally regulated route for one’s own vote. It does not remove ballot secrecy or personal eligibility requirements.
