A specialised court system for particular legal relationships.
The labour court is not part of a company’s human-resources department. It acts as a court under the applicable rules. Section 2 of the Labour Courts Act specifies which categories of dispute belong before labour courts in judgment proceedings.
Their work extends beyond dismissals. Employees and employers may dispute whether agreed pay remains outstanding or whether employment exists. Understanding the subject area is more useful than memorising the name alone.

The other three answers
The names describe different functions or court levels.
the family court
Family courts deal with family matters. An ordinary employment dispute does not become a family matter because the people involved also have families.
the criminal court
A criminal court examines criminal allegations. A dispute over pay or the validity of dismissal is not automatically a criminal case. A possible offence at work would require separate consideration.
the local court
Amtsgericht is not a generic term for every nearby court. The employment-law disputes intended here belong to a separate labour-court system.
Everyday working life is broader than labour-court jurisdiction.
A conflict can arise at work yet involve another legal issue. A labour court does not decide criminal guilt. Employment consequences of the same event may nevertheless raise a separate question.
Civil-service status also differs from ordinary employment. Section 54 of the Civil Servants Status Act provides administrative-court jurisdiction for the service relationships it covers. The test answer is therefore a basic classification, not a rule covering every occupation.
Section 2 · Labour Courts Act ↗Pay and employment contract → think labour court.
