“Well educated” does not mean only a university degree.
Vocational training, advanced occupational training and university study can develop different skills. The appropriate qualification depends on the work. A vocational occupation is therefore not merely a substitute for an academic route, but an educational and career path in its own right.
Official earnings comparisons show differences by qualification. They also show that occupation, industry and experience matter. The exam answer describes an important opportunity created by qualifications, not a simple formula in which a certificate determines everyone’s pay.

The other three answers
The other answers do not name a general occupational qualification.
are Catholic.
Being Catholic is a religious affiliation, not evidence of occupational skills. It is not a general requirement for a well-paid job.
are a woman.
Gender is not a qualification. Claiming that being a woman generally provides the best earning prospects does not answer the question about professional preparation.
are a member of a party.
Party membership does not establish particular occupational training. It is not the general basis for access to well-paid employment.
Better prospects are neither a guarantee nor a judgement of personal worth.
Averages describe groups. People with the same qualification can earn very different amounts, and qualified occupations are also paid differently. Low income therefore does not by itself establish a lack of ability.
The question explains a connection between qualifications and opportunities. It does not justify discrimination based on personal characteristics. The General Equal Treatment Act aims, among other things, to prevent discrimination on grounds of sex or religion.
