A festival can have religious meaning and everyday customs.
For Christians, Easter is associated with the resurrection of Jesus. Coloured eggs are a familiar custom surrounding the festival. You do not need a theory about who first invented egg painting to answer the exam question.
A religious interpretation and a shared craft activity are not the same thing. When studying, distinguish three things: the festival’s name, an associated custom, and the individual choice whether to participate.

The other three answers
The other three activities suggest different occasions.
putting pumpkins in front of the door
Pumpkins outside a door, especially carved or illuminated ones, are associated with Halloween. They are not the Easter custom sought here.
decorating a Christmas tree
Decorating a fir tree is a Christmas custom. Easter and Christmas are different festivals.
shooting rockets into the air
Rockets and other fireworks are particularly associated with New Year’s Eve and the turn of the year. Painting eggs is the appropriate Easter answer.
Recognising a custom does not make it universal.
Families and individuals celebrate differently or do not observe these customs at all. A custom is a familiar practice, not a legal or universal religious obligation.
The colour or design of an egg does not determine the exam answer either. What matters is the activity of painting eggs and its association with Easter.
Easter · Customs · Evangelical Church in Germany ↗Easter: paint eggs. Christmas: decorate the tree.
Match each custom to its festival instead of mixing different celebrations together.
