Check three features together.
First find the upright striped lion. Then check the crown and stars. Silver appears white in the catalogue graphic. The combination of animal, crown and stars is more reliable than looking for any lion.
Hessen’s coat of arms also has a red-and-silver lion on blue. Thüringen’s parliament explains the difference: the Hessian lion is uncrowned, and its field has no stars. This helps beyond this particular set of four options.

The other three answers
The other shields have different identifying shapes.
1
Image 1 shows three black lions above one another on gold, beneath a crown. It lacks the single striped lion and stars on blue.
2
Image 2 is divided: a dark animal head stands beside a red winged animal. This is not Thüringen’s shield with stars.
3
Image 3 has black and gold stripes and a diagonal green leafy band. It has no lion with stars.
The image number and emblem feature are different things.
Number 4 applies only to this catalogue question’s arrangement. You recognise the coat of arms from its features even if another book places it elsewhere.
The official description says red and silver. White in a printed or digital depiction therefore does not indicate a different coat of arms. The AI illustrations do not replace the original graphic in the quiz.
Article 44(3) · Constitution of Thüringen ↗Crowned striped lion + eight stars on blue → image 4.
